Media First Ideas

This is a short video I have made discussing my first ideas for my potential media tasks:

I now need to analyse existing music videos in order to find the conventions needed to make a successful and appealing music video.

I also need to research into my primary, secondary and tertiary target audiences.

Basic Song Idea: Two Door Cinema Club - Undercover Martyn

Undercover Martyn is a very upbeat song by Two Door Cinema Club therefore I would probably use cuts very frequently in order to keep up with the fast pace of the music. The basic story line I would use if I picked this song would be how the band gained recognition and fame, from playing in their basement to playing at a small pub to selling out a venue. This would all be with help and motivation from their agent “she spoke words of wisdom” that stop the band from giving up. I would film this in a variety of different locations such as a basement, small pub and a sage with lighting to give it the effect that it is a large venue. The protagonists in the video would be three male band members and a female agent, I will hold additions in the future.
